Ferrari 208 Dino 208 GT/4
Presented in 1975. Basically it was a 308 GT/4 with 1990cc engine and power output of 180 BHP. About 840 cars were built until 1980. 208 GTB/GTS
Introduced in 1980. It was a 1990cc V8 engine in 308 GTB/GTS body. With power output 155 BHP cars were rather slow so production stopped in 1982/3 with a total of 160 208GTS's and 140 GTB's produced. 208 GTB/GTS Turbo
To increase power of preceding models, Ferrari added a Turbocharger (a K26 by KKK) and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. The power went up to 220 BHP. A total of 427 GTB Turbo and 250 GTS Turbo had been built before production ceased in 1985. GTB/GTS Turbo
Ferrari wanted to increase power to 254 BHP and he achieved this by installing a new IHI Turbo and heat exchanger. Cars dropped the '208' and were sold simply as GTB Turbo and GTS Turbo. Production ended in 1989 with 308 coupes and 828 cabrios completed. |
