Ferrari Dino

Dino 206

Presented at Paris Motorshow in 1965. Ferrari desire to built a tribute to his late son (Alfredino, hence Dino) with combination of his unwillingness to have a V6 Ferrari led to V6 cars being sold as Dino's. It was the first car with a Dino badge. Cars were fitted with 1987cc V6 engine producing 180 BHP. Despite its low power output it was enough to make 206 GT an excellent 'drivers car'. Production ended with only 152 examples produced.


Dino 246

This model was fitted with larger 2419cc engine with a cast-iron block producing 195 BHP. Car featured some modifications like larger fuel tank, power windows and other. New 246 GTS was introduced at Geneva Motorshow in 1972. This was a cabrio version of 246 GT. In 1973 a total of 2732 GT's and 1180 GTS's were built. It should be noted that all cars were sold with no Ferrari badges on them.
