Cape Fox
The Cape Fox sizes are small. They weights 3.6-5kg. Their standing height is 28-33cm. Their tail length is 30-40cm. The body length is 45-61cm. They look like a small gray or sliver with a long bushy tail. The upper forelimbs are reddish; the head and ears are also reddish. They have white patches on their cheeks, dark brown or black patches on thighs. The females are about 5 pencent smaller than the males.
The Female is prengant for 51-53 days. After those days they give birth to 3 - 6 cubs. They weight 50-100g. The adults start mating in September. The cubs are born probably in the late Fall or during winter time.
Their diet were mostly rodents,rabbits,insects, beetle,larvae and reptiles. They eat small amount of vegetables. They eat young lambs.
They hunted rabbits, insects, young lambs, larvae, and reptiles. They hunted for vegetables to feed the youngs.
1975,2000 to 3.000 Cape foxes were killed by ranchers and farmers.
Cape Foxes lives no longer than 10 years
