Wakeboarding consists of a wakeboard, bindings, a rope, a vest. The new boards from liquid force known as the Trip Ultracore's are one of the best out on the market. these new boards have a balsa wood core for premium weight and a huge pop off the wake. the bindings are one of the 3 essentials that one must have wakeboarding. Bindings are simply a few pieces of rubber put together to hold you feet in. however the bindings coming out in later years look a lot more hi tech and made for more technical and expert riders.

The vest though one does not need it is very important if you can't swim very well. the new vests out today called "Neoprene" vest are made out of wet suit material in order to keep a rider warm when he or she is in cold water. The rope that a wakeboarder uses is very different then a normal ski rope. This rope is a lot thinner and has a lot less stretch then a normal ski rope and gives the rider a lot more speed toward the wake.
