Contests Tampa Pro/Tampa Am: Every
spring the Skatepark of Tampa holds one of the most
respected skateboarding contests. Anyone that is
not pro can enter the amateur contest. For placing
first in the Am contest you win a random car that
the skatepark chooses. The Pro contest has a cash
prize that is very rewarding and is given to the
top three placers in the contests. There is two
types of contests for Pro and Am: Vert and
Street. Summer X-Games: The
summer X-games is by far the most popular
skateboarding contest. There main reason why it is
so popular is that it is the only skateboarding
contest aired on TV. The X-games only has pro
events: Vert, Street and Best trick. You can watch
the X-games on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC.
